Top beaches in Mykonos where you can spend a day. All beautiful but different, there is one for everyone.
Did you know there are just over 27 beaches in Mykonos? Many of them are secluded and not easily accessible but that is the fact. Here we picked top 10 beaches in Mykonos, if you should decide to go from your Cruise Ship directly to the beach:

1. Platis Yialos Beach

Located 5 km southeast of Mykonos Town, this is one of the best beaches on Mykonos. Although it can get very crowded its quite wide and beautiful with many restaurants serving delicious local specialties. There’s a direct bus connection to Mykonos Town. On Platis Yialos Beach you can catch the water-taxi to other popular beaches such as: Ornos, Paranga, Paradise. Super Paradise, Agrari, Elia Beach.

2. Psarou Beach

5 km away from Mykonos Town, Psarou Beach is famous for attracting celebrities from all over the world. It is a beautiful sandy beach with clear waters, offering also water sports facilities such as scuba diving. The most trendy and expensive beach on Mykonos Island.

3. Ornos Beach

Located on the southwest corner of the island and only 2 km from Mykonos town. This beach is perfect for families with kids, due to its sandy bottom which drops off very gently from the shore. Access to and from this beach to Mykonos town is made easy with a frequent local bus service. There is a daily boat-taxi service to other beaches.

4. Paranga Beach

6 km form Mykonos Town, Paranga Beach is bordered with the restaurants and music beach bars, ideal for those you who are seeking for summer party vibes. Regular bus service from and to Mykonos Town and a frequent boat-taxi service connecting you to other beaches.

5. Paradise Beach

6 km south of Mykonos Town with a frequent bus service from/to Town and water-taxi connecting with other beaches, Paradise Beach is a young vibes party-beach with restaurants and bars spilling out onto the sand. The beach party gets louder just as the sun goes down. Since most Cruise Ship arrive early morning and leave early afternoon, you will most likely not see the “party” atmosphere, but we recommend you see it. It seems that everyone has heard of Paradise Beach in Mykonos!

6. Super Paradise Beach

Just when you thought Paradise Beach sounds nice, there is the Super Paradise Beach, right? Well, it truly is Super beach with fine sand and its crystal-clear water. Offering water sports facilities, affordable restaurant with local cuisine, this beach is best enjoyed before 3 pm, as the beach party starts in the afternoon, just like on Paradise beach. If you decide to visit, you will be stunned by its beauty.

7. Elia Beach

11 km southeast of Mykonos Town, Elia Beach is the longest beach on Mykonos. It offers watersports, beach-side tavern and organized utilities to its visitors. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and worth spending time there, relaxing & enjoying its crystal-clear waters.

8. Agrari Beach

10 km southeast of Mykonos Town, Agrari Beach is very quiet and secluded with fine sand. There is no buses from Mykonos Town to Agrari so you would need to rent a car or take a private transfer. The road coming down to the beach is very steep and windy, so just go slow. There’s 1 restaurant at Agrari.

9. Kalafatis Beach

The beautiful Kalafatis Beach (photo at the top of this page) is one of the stops on our Highlights of Mykonos Tour.  Located about 12 km from Mykonos Town, this beach provides great water sports facilities, including diving, and its known to wind surfers who enjoy a good offshore breeze. You can find a few restaurants in this area specializing in local seafood dishes. There are a couple of buses per day connecting Mykonos Town & Kalafatis Beach.

10. Agios Stefanos Beach

Agios Stefanos Beach or Saint Stefanos Beach, is only 2 km from Mykonos Town. Its a perfect beach for Cruise Ship passengers looking for a beach close to the Cruise Ship Terminals. There is a frequent bus service from Mykonos Town to Agios Stefanos Beach (in case you arrive by Tenders). If you arrive to Tourlos Harbor by Docking you can walk to this beach (approx. 700 meters distance).

A little farther around the corner (5) is Paradise Beach. You can walk on the foot path starting from Platis Yialos (2) to Paradise (5) making a stop at each beach; swimming, drinking and eating along the way. If you don’t have energy to go back, you can always hop on a water-taxi.
